Eldon Duane Curtis, age 65, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in Rose City, MI. Eldon has lived in Rose City for the past 3 years with his wife, Margaret Curtis. They are formerly of Baltimore, MD. Eldon was born on September 30, 1949 in Flint, MI to Harry and Bertha Curtis. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and fixing things and he was also a member of St. Helen Community Baptist Church.
Eldon is survived by his wife, Margaret Curtis; sons: Anthony (Kim) Curtis of Missouri, Adam Curtis and Dustin Curtis of California; stepchildren: Anomi (Luis) Hernandez of Virginia, Elizabeth (Alexander) Jelley of England, Mike, Chrissy, and Melissa; siblings: Norma (Ray) Maggin, Eugene Curtis, Lucy Allen, Jeanette (Pat) Gavagan, Sarah (Ritch) Wilson, Cathy (Dave) Kerr, and sister-in-law, Linda Curtis; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gordon Curtis, and sister-in-law, Shirley.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Helen Community Baptist Church in St. Helen, MI with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Arrangements were handled by Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City, MI.
