Elaine M. Moore, age 64 of Rose city, passed away Tuesday, May 01, 2012 at Bortz Health Care in Rose City. Elaine was born February 29, 1948 in Williamsport, PA , the daughter of James and Mary Farrar. She had lived in Rose City since 1980. Elaine was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, West Branch Chamber of Commerce, and Michigan Grape & Wine Council. She was a partner in Valley Mist Vineyards in Rose City since 2008. Elaine loved giving to others. She helped many through her generous spirit. She was extremely artistic in her hobbies of scrapbooking, making cards, and was a superb ceramic artist. She had many special friends of whom many called her “Grandma”. Elaine is survived by husband of 37 years, Bradley Moore of Rose City, sons, Gary (MaryAnn) Moore of West Branch, Daniel (Lisa) Moore of Batavia, IL, daughter, Jana (Michael) Brockwell of Ludington, grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Ashley, River, and Gabriel. Also surviving are brothers, Peter (Sherry) Farrar of Brighton, CO, Terry (Sue) Farrar of Flat Rock, sister-in-law, Gerry Farrar of Whitehall, MI, and brother-in-law, Randy and Ruth Moore of Oscoda. She also had several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Farrar, and her brother James. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 3-9 pm with Rosary being said at 6:00 pm and Scripture Service at 6:30 pm. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:00 am with visitation prior from 10:00 am until time of Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands.
