Mr. Schemanski passed away at his home. He had lived in St. Helen for the past 18 years, formerly of Flint. He retired from Buick Motor Division in Flint after 37 years. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, the K of C #8390 and the UAW Local #599. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing cards. Mr. Schemanski is survived by his wife Delphine of St. Helen, children--Nancy (Mike) Scott of St. Louis, MO., Theresa Schemanski of Grand Rapids, Jane (Loren) Schafer of Flint, Margaret (Jon) Jousma of Howard City and David (Christine) Schemanski of Sand Lake, 6 grandchildren--Stacey, Karen, Michael, Christopher, Blake and Dan and 4 great-grandchildren--Paige, Jacob, Camren and Aaron. Also surviving are 3 brothers, Elmer Schemanski, Jerry (Maxine) Schemanski and John (Laurie) Schemanski and 3 sisters, Helen Smith, Alice Schemanski and Janet (Jim) Dietlin. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Daniel in 1969. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Thursday from 2-9 P.M. A Scripture Service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Friday December 12, 2003 at St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen. Fr. Albert Couturier will officate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St.Helen.
