Edward "Beans" J. Wirtel

Edward “Beans” J. Wirtel was born on July 29, 1926; he passed away on May 15, 2017 at the age of 90. He married Allie Menard on January 31, 1948. He is survived by his daughter, April E. Stuart, 2 granddaughters, Rebecca Stuart Minnich and Jennifer R. Stuart and 2 great grandchildren, Ethan Minnich (7) and Lauren Minnich (4). Mr. Wirtel served in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946. After returning home, he began working for the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 1981 after 38 years of service. He moved from Wyandotte, MI with his family in 1962 to Long Beach, CA until 1991. He then moved to Las Vegas, NV where he resided until 2002. He finally settled in Rose City, MI in 2002 with his wife, Allie.

Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 402 N. Peters Rd. West Branch, MI on Friday, June 23 , 2017 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Holy Family Catholic Church.
