Edmond James LeDuc, age 92, of West Branch, passed away Monday, September 24, 2007 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 25, 1914 to the late E.J. and Edna LeDuc. He married the former Margaret Valley on September 9, 1935. They celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2005. Ed owned and operated LeDuc’s Machine Shop in West Branch for many years and retired from W.B. Industries. Ed and Margaret were avid race car drivers and fans, square danced for many years and also enjoyed snowmobiling. They were members of St. John Lutheran Church. Ed is survived by his granddaughter, Kathy Ann Bunting (Paul Smith) of Whitehall, Ohio, a daughter in law, Paula LeDuc of Hope, his brothers, Alton (Alice) LeDuc of West Branch, Melvin LeDuc of Lapeer and Raymond LeDuc of Ann Arbor, his sisters, Madelyn Kennedy of Livonia, Shirley Clough of Grayling, Natelle (Dave) Gross of Coleman and Donna (Sam) Hutchings of Leonard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret and a son, Malcolm. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church, West Branch. The family would especially like to thank Edmond’s caregivers, Florence, Audrey, Marlene and Misty, nurse Angie, Denise and all the caregivers from the Health Department. A special thank you to Hospice of Helping Hands for the wonderful care of both Margaret and Edmond before their deaths. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
