Dwyn M. Gillespie, age 82, daughter of Lawrence and Gertrude (Rau) Winter, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Horizon Senior Living in St.Helen. Dwyn was formerly of Flint and lived in Prudenville since 1988, the last 3½ years with her daughter Jackie (Bob) Rickard of Houghton Lake. She was a member of the Industrial Business Girls of Flint, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Houghton Lake Chamber of Commerce. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in West Branch and worked for AC Spark Plug, Flint in accounts payable for 25 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Dwyn was an avid bowler and she loved camping and the outdoors. Mrs. Gillespie is survived by her children; Jackie (Bob) Rickard of Houghton Lake, Jill Robart of Flint, Jaina (Steve) Branoff of Swartz Creek, David (Pam) Gillespie and Bob (Carol) Gillespie both of West Branch, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her sister, Gertrude Daignault of Texas, sister-in-law, Shirley Winter and brother –in-law, Leon (Rosemary) Gillespie all of West Branch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karlton Gillespie, daughter, Mary Louise Gillespie, brother, Carl Winter and sister Kathleen Winter. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 1-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
