Douglas Charles Hunter, age 91, passed away Thursday, January 09, 2014 at Bortz Health Care of West Branch. Douglas lived in West Branch since 2000, formerly of Lansing, MI. He was born to Harold and Helen (Paul) Hunter on November 29, 1922 in Lansing, MI. Douglas was a World War II Veteran. Douglas is survived by his sons: David (Judy) Hunter of West Branch, MI and Leslie (Genneth) Hunter of Goodyear, AZ; brother: Thomas Hunter of Orleans, MI; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Arlene Hunter; brothers: Paul and William Hunter; and sister: Mary Jean Hargreaves. The family is grateful to Bortz Health Care of West Branch for the care and compassion shown to Douglas and special thanks to his favorite and special nurse Melissa. A Graveside Service will be scheduled at a later date.
