Dorothy M. Gallagher

Dorothy M. Gallagher, 87, of West Branch died Saturday, November 15, 2008, at West Branch Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 20, 1921 to Patrick and Nora (Linam) Mier in West Branch. Dorothy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Altar Society, Sunshine Club, West Branch Farm Bureau, and in the past, was active in the American Cancer Society. She loved her family, flowers, cooking and friends. Dorothy is survived by her four sons: Gary L. (Lauranne) of Flint, Patrick C., Danny J. (Patricia) and Gregory L. (Debbie) all of West Branch. Grandchildren include Gary and Vicki, Kelly Gallagher, Noreen and Michael Henning and Joshua Gallagher, Irish and Linda, Ryan and Sherry and Tracy Gallagher, Violet and Casey, Jonathan and Diane. Great grandchildren are Matthew and Michael, Shane and Devon, Melinda and Marina, Dustin and Karissa. There are many nieces, nephews, friends, and her special godchildren, the Perkin Girls. Also special friends Mary Ehinger and Christa Brown. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00PM. to 9:00PM. at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home, West Branch. There will be a Scripture Service on Monday evening at 7:00PM. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00AM. from St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ogemaw County Clergy Fellowship - Food Pantry.
