Donna Mae Walker

Donna Mae Walker, age 78 passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Donna was born in Detroit to Walter and Violet (Cook) Woita and had lived in West Branch since 1988, formerly of Madison Heights. Donna graduated from Pershing High in 1952 and was active in planning class reunions. She married her husband Bill on April 30, 1955 at the Truth Lutheran Church in Detroit. Donna enjoyed baking, cooking, golfing, gardening, crafts. She also enjoyed building their home with her husband Bill. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church in Warren and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rose City. Donna is survived by her husband Bill of West Branch, children Dennis (Karen) Walker of Livonia and Cheryl Walker of Cadillac, grandchildren Megan, Amanda and Marissa and great-grandson Jaxson. Also surviving is her brother Ronald Woita of North Palm Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Sue Harris. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. On Monday, visitation will begin at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rose City at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor J. Daniel Stoneback will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or Prince of Peace Memorial Fund.
