Donna Lee Neveau

Donna L. Neveau, age 78, of St. Helen, MI peacefully passed away in the comfort of her son’s home on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. She was born on February 13, 1941 in Bay City, MI to the late Ralph E. and Mary M. Edgette. On May 24, 1958 she married her loving husband, Alwidge, in Bay City, MI where they resided until moving to St. Helen, MI in 1978.

In her younger years, she loved to go out on the boat fishing for bluegills on Lake St. Helen despite never learning to swim and having a fear for the water. Donna loved to bake, crochet, knit, sew and read. She had a subscription to the Bay City Times her entire adult life. She enjoyed drinking Sunkist Orange pop with lots and lots of ice. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who refer to her as “Meemaw”.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Compassus Hospice of West Branch for their excellent care during their time of need.

She is survived by her son, Timothy (Marcia) Neveau of Roscommon; Grandson, Dr. TJ (Aubrey) Neveau of Bay City; Granddaughter, Desiree’ (Jason) Baerlocher of Roscommon; Great Grandchildren, Luke and Hayden Neveau, Lillian and Melanie Baerlocher; Sister, Joanne (Jay) Mcintosh and several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alwidge, Sons, David, Joseph and Robbin; Daughter, Debra; Brother, Ralph Edgette and many sisters and brothers-in-law.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will be on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow the service at the Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen.
