Donna L. Sager

Donna L. Sager, age 92 of Bay City, passed away peacefully after a long life and brief illness in her granddaughter’s home on April 25, 2006. Donna, formerly of Silverwood and Rose City, resided in Bay City for the last 40 years. She was a dedicated, faithful servant of Christ and a long time member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a loyal friend, devoted wife and mother who spent many years as the sole caregiver of her husband when his health failed. She also spent several years caring for her daughter when she was struck with a slow, debilitating disease. Donna constantly gave of herself without counting the cost. She was loved, respected and admired by all who knew her. To know her was to call her “Nana”. Her companionship, homemade desserts and pies, simplistic sense of humor and hearty chuckle will be sorely missed by all. Donna is survived by 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Sager and daughter Sandra L. (Sager) Schneider. A private Graveside Farewell was held on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at the Rose City Cemetery in Rose City, Michigan where she was laid to rest with her beloved husband and daughter. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, April 28, 2006 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5435 Kasemeryer Road in Bay City.
