Donald Ray Jameson

Donald Ray Jameson, age 82, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his home in West Branch with his family by his side. He was born on March 15, 1938 in West Branch to Earl and Lillian (Brindley) Jameson. Don served in the United States Army from 1955 -1961.

Don worked for Central Paving for over 30 years and then started his own paving company, West Branch Asphalt. Before retiring from paving, he went to work for John Carlo Paving. While working for the paving companies, he also helped with his wife, Pat, with PJ Processed Firewood. Together they sold Christmas trees for many years and firewood. Once Don and Pat retired, they enjoyed traveling. Don also enjoyed playing cards and working. He was a workaholic.

Don is survived by his sons, Dennis (Vicki Barnes) Jameson and Jake (April) Jameson, both of West Branch; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Bruce Jameson of West Branch, Bob (Rose) Jameson of Bay City and Roger (Jean) Jameson of West Branch; and sisters, Joyce (Kenny) Gildner of West Branch, Linda (Roger) Klacker of Manton and Donna (Jerry) McLean of Maple Ridge. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Pat; grandchildren, Leslie and Kurtis; and brothers, Jim, Wayne and Richard.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
