Donald "Jerry" Jerome Czarney

Jerry (Donald) Jerome Czarney, age 75 passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland, MI. He had lived in West Branch, MI for 28 years. Jerry was born to Martin and Ena (Heron) Czarney on February 16, 1940 in Berkley, MI. He married his best friend, Judith Purdon on August 5, 1967 in Utica, MI. Jerry was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge, and was a United States Veteran serving in the Army. He retired from Valenite in West Branch after working there for 45 years. Jerry was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, traveling, and going on road trips. Jerry loved spending time with his family and cherished wife.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Judith “Judy” Czarney of West Branch; daughters, Tracy (Douglas) Bartos of Oxford, MI and Tricia (Brian) O’Donnell of Metamora, MI; grandchildren, Elaina, Bailey, Luke, and Abigail; and sister, Rosemary (Brad) Loyal of Chesterfield, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ena, and sister, Laura Czarney.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.
