Donald A. Blanchard

Donald Alan Blanchard May 30, 1960 ~ March 18, 2011 Donald Alan Blanchard age 50, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. Don was a lifelong resident of West Branch, Michigan. He was a 1978 graduate of the Ogemaw Heights High school. Don enjoyed target shooting, fishing, golfing, throwing darts and listening to music. But most of all he loved riding his Harley, he even named his dog Harley Davidson. Don is survived by his mother Katherine Blanchard of West Branch, brother Floyd Jr. (Wanda) Blanchard of West Branch, brother John (Anita) Blanchard of West Branch, and sister Janet (David) Yantz of West Branch. Also survived by his long time friend and love Sue Blanchard and her three boys, his step children Jeremy (Michelle) Tennent of West Branch, and Jenifer (Steven) Nicholas of Virginia Beach, VA and his aunt Joan (Jim) Fornoth of California. He is also survived by 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 great nephews and 1 great niece. He is preceded in death by his father Floyd Sr., sister Cindy, and brother Richard. A memorial service for Don will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. The family will receive friends from 11-1 PM before the service. Pastor Paul Klassen will officiate. Memorial Donations may be offered to the St. Mary’s Foundation.
