Don S. Winslow

Don S. Winslow, age 78 of West Branch, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at his home after an extended illness. Don had lived in West Branch for all of his life. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Odd Fellows Lodge #377, the Rebekah Lodge #137 and the Independent Order of Foresters. Don delivered home heating oil, installed and maintained furnaces in the West Branch area for 30 years. Don is survived by his wife Margaret of West Branch, children, Brett (Janet) Winslow of West Branch and Brenda (Jeff) Chadwick of Tawas and grandchildren, Andy, Aaron and Michael. Also surviving are his sisters, Phyllis Seloom of Sanford, Janet Sayranian of Royal Oak, Marjorie (Curtis) Meuller of Alaska and his brothers, Larry (Victoria) Winslow of Au Gres, Duane (Dorothy) Winslow of Sanford and Roger (Janey) Winslow of Midland. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Meiser and brother, Keith Winslow. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 2-9 p.m. On Friday, Don will lie in state at the First United Methodist Church beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Mary Lynch will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, West Branch.
