Dick Zettle

Dick Zettle, 80, of West Branch died Monday, March 13, 2006 at his home. A memorial service is being planned for late afternoon Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the VFW #3775 hall in West Branch. Dick was born February 23, 1926 in West Branch to the parents of Grover and Hazel Zettle. He was enlisted in the US Navy from 1944-1946 and served on the USS Horace A. Bass. He was a member of the VFW Post# 3775. He worked in the plastering trade for 45 years. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and his golf cart. Surviving family members include his wife of 54 years Irene, sons David Zettle, Greg Zettle, daughter Susan Martinez, sister Lois Gehman, brothers Don Zettle, Gene Zettle and 7 Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Grover and Hazel Zettle, brother Harold Zettle, Grover Zettle, sister Oka Gaydos and Grandson Ghent Zettle. Dick will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who knew him. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heartland Hospice PO Box 667 West Branch, MI 48661 or the VFW Post# 3775.
