Delores (Beamish) Blamer, age 81 of West Branch, passed away Saturday January 22, 2011 at her home. She had lived at the Brook in West Branch since 2005, formerly of Rose City and Fairview. She enjoyed ceramics and painting. Delores is survived by her children, Dan (Sheryl) Beamish of Bay City, Rodney (Barbara) Beamish of Alpena, Marsha (Tom) McCoy of Standish and Marion (Ray) Louks of Midland, her grandchildren Tom McCoy Jr. of Byron Center, Jennifer McCoy of Chicago, Steffanie Springer of Minneapolis, MN, Daniel Beamish of Traverse City, Rebecca Tousigna of West Branch, Ryan Ruby of Alpena, Joel Beamish of Phenix City, AL, Julie Beamish of Mission Viejo, CA and Edward Fransee Jr. of Midland and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Marion Schnell of Saginaw and her brothers, Tom Grunwell of Saginaw and Jack Grunwell of Tawas. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dan Beamish and John Blamer and her brothers Irwin Grunwell, Herbert Grunwell Jr., and Howard Grunwell. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 2-9 p.m. On Saturday, Delores will lie in state at the Abundant Life Church, 3675 Lincoln Road, Standish MI. beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Tom McCoy will officiate. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Abundant Life Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
