Debra Kay Booth (Mathews), age 60, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in St. Helen, MI. She fought her cancer with faith, strength, and grace and with the devoted support of her husband and family. She was born on August 27, 1954 in Flint MI. Debra was a graduate of Kearsley High School. She served in the U.S. Army. She worked at Rite Aid Pharmacy in Genesee, MI and held various other jobs.
Debra married Randy Booth on November 14, 2009. They moved to Northern Michigan and into her dream home in St. Helen in 2014. She was a member of and attended Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen. She enjoyed tubing on the river, bowling, and her children and grandchildren.
Debra is survived by her loving husband, Randy Booth of St. Helen; children: Julie White, Megan Stewart, and Brandi (Jeremy) Lucke; grandchildren: Lawrence, Emily, Rebekah, Penelope, Serenity, Destiny, Savannah, and Jayden; sister, Donna (Bernard) Dell and brother, Larry (Kay) Mathews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Patricia (Olsey) Mathews and sister, Darla Kolb (Mathews).
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris, MI on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 with a Graveside Service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Rodney Morrison, Pastor, will officiate.
