Deborah Anne Smith

Deborah Anne Smith, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at her home in Gladwin, MI. She was born on January 14, 1954, in Detroit, MI to John “Jack” and Anne (Redfern) Hartley. She lived in Gladwin for over 15 years, formerly of the Gaylord and New Hudson areas.

While raising her family and working full time, she went back to high school and graduated from South Lyon High School in 1991. She enjoyed stained glass, reading, gardening, cooking, fishing, snowmobiling, and boating.

Debi is survived by her children, Tisha (Alex) Ortiz of New Hudson, MI, Kevin (Megan) Smith Novi, MI, and Michael Smith of Alger, MI; grandchildren Dante Ortiz, Kody, Matthew, Christopher, and Emma Smith; and cousins Richard (Linda) Spragg of Gladwin, Kelly Spragg of Gladwin, Nate Spragg of Linden, MI, Joe Spragg of Fowlerville, MI, and Denise (Jim) Keller of Gladwin.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place.
