Dean Frederick Scott

Dean Frederick Scott, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Standish Hospital. He had lived in Alger since 1994, formerly of Livonia, MI. Dean was born to Floyd and Marjorie Scott on October 29, 1930 in Jackson, MI. On December 16, 1952, he married Wanda Glenn in Jackson, MI. Dean enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, boating, and motorcycles.

Dean is survived by his children, Douglas (Debbie) Scott of Livonia, MI, Daniel (Linda) Scott of Linden, MI, and James (Laurel) Scott of Farmington Hills, MI; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother, David (Mary) Scott of Canadian Lakes, MI; and cousin, Jerry (Betty) Scott of Jackson, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Wanda in 2010. For the last few years, Dean had enjoyed spending time with his dear, Pat Boisvert of Saline, MI.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI will begin on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Alger Cemetery. Rev. James Payne will officiate.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association in memory of Wanda.
