David Michael Roop Sr.

David Michael Roop Sr., age 45, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at his home in West Branch, MI. He had lived in West Branch for the past 8 years, formerly of Gulf Port, MS and Birch Run/Flint, MI. Dave was born on July 12, 1972 in Flint, MI to David and Judy (Salgat) Roop. He was in the ROTC in high school and after graduation from high school, opened his own business doing floor covering in the Flint, MI area. He also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity after Hurricane Katrina. Dave enjoyed attending sporting events, playing basketball with is sons and watching his son play football. He cherished spending time with his boys and daughter.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 14 years (together for 27 years), Bobbi Roop of West Branch; sons, David Roop Jr., Drew Roop and Dougles Roop all of West Branch; daughter, Savannah Roop of West Branch; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Irving Pate; brother, Jason Pate; and sister, Tanya Kraft.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.
