David L. Larner

David L. Larner, age 64, passed away suddenly at his AuSable Lake home Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Dave was born in Flint on March 29, 1946 to David and Marion (Turnbull) Larner. David was a dedicated employee of Northwest Airlines in Lansing for 38 years. He retired in 2007 and moved from DeWitt to his beautiful AuSable Lake home where he enjoyed many happy years with his loving wife Mary Anne. Dave was an avid MSU fan and loved talking sports with his sons Heath and Jay. He especially loved playing with his little grandsons at AuSable Lake, visiting his son Heath in Hawaii and fun times with his son Jay and family in Traverse City. Dave enjoyed being a part of the Ogemaw Heights Football Booster Club and spent many a Friday night cheering on the Falcons from the concession stand. He was blessed with a loving family and dear friends. He will be dearly missed. Dave is survived by his wife Mary Anne of Hale, sons Heath Larner of Honolulu, HI and Jay (Amanda) Larner of Traverse City, grandsons; Abram David and Elliott and his special pet Chuck. A lakeside Memorial Service will be held at David’s home on AuSable Lake (5308 AuSable Drive, Hale, MI 48739) on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School Endowment Fund or the Ogemaw Heights Football Booster Club. Donations can be made at the funeral home or at the memorial service.
