Darryl E. Smith

Mr. Smith passed away at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He had lived in Rose City since 1991, formerly of South Rockwood. He was a past supervisor for Berlin Township in Monroe County, a volunteer fireman for the South Rockwood Fire Department, a member of the Jaycees, and was a Cumming Township trustee. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Ruth Smith of Rose City, children--Deborha (Daniel) Ingraham of Haslett, Mark (Kimberly) Smith of Milan, Cheryl (John) Olejar of Rochester Hills, Tamara (Robert) Diemler of Hale and Steven (Kari) Smith of South Rockwood. 16 grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Norma Fitzgerald of Shelton, CN., and Linda Masserant of Newport, MI. Visitation will begin on Saturday February 15, 2003 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City, on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Fr. Russell Kohler will officate with burial at Logan Township Cemetery.
