Daniel Lee Sentell, age 65, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw, MI after a hard fought battle. He was born on August 4, 1954 in St. Petersburg, FL to Everett and Helen (Dennett) Sentell. Dan lived in St. Helen, MI for most of his life. On December 31, 1999 he married Ellen K. Bell in Deerfield Beach, FL. He graduated from East Detroit High School in 1974 and started working with his dad in the water well drilling industry. In 1998, he purchased the company from his dad, Gage Well Drilling, until 2010 when he sold the business due to health concerns. Dan enjoyed golfing, fishing, loved riding his trike and wintering in Pensacola, FL. His greatest gifts were his grandchildren and his dogs, Spencer, Sundae and Sullivan.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Ellen K. Sentell of St. Helen; children, Laura (Joseph) Dean, Kara Somes, and Lawrence “Larry” Sentell; grandchildren, Allysen, Kaylee and Isaac; mother, Helen Copeland; brother in law, Brian Davison; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father Everett “Leon” Sentell, step father Claud Copeland, step mother Judy Sentell, step sister Jodi Davison, and first wife Karen Sentell.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
