Dale Royce Gardner

Dale Royce Gardner, age 85, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. He has lived in West Branch since 1975, formerly of Saginaw, MI. Dale was born on April 20, 1933 in West Branch to Aubrey and Leota (Vincent) Gardner. He was raised in West Branch and attended West Branch High School. Dale served in the US Army during the Korean War. On May 22, 1959 he married Helen Moore in Flint, MI. Dale worked at General Motors for over 35 years and once he retired, he starting working at Steering Gear in Saginaw. After retiring from Steering Gear, he went to work at Forwards Conference Center in the maintenance department for 17 years.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen Gardner of West Branch; children, Diane (Gary) Rau of West Branch, Sharlene (Ralph) Tullis of Alger, Jerry (Linda) Gardner of NY, Stevie (David) Dignal of IN, and Frank (Deanne) Gardner of CO; grandchildren, Randy Rau, Gary (Sara) Rau, Kelli (James) Clark, Kendra Tullis, Kyler Tullis, Joshua Gardner, April Armstrong, Jonathan Dignal, Rebekah Dignal, Sarah (Adam) Burmeister, Nicole Gardner and Cody Gardner; great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Reese, Reanne, Melanie, Aubrey, Charles, Sawyer, Caden, Xander, Gabriel, and Micah; brother, Lyle Gardner of West Branch; sister, June Gallivan of Traverse City; and nephews, Lyle and Loren. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Dwayne Rau and brother in law, Loren Gallivan.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in West Branch at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery. Pastor Tim Dibble will officiate.
