Dale Ingi Johnson

Dale Ingi Johnson, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the age of 72 in Roscommon, MI. Born on September 30, 1952, in Seattle, WA, Dale came from a lineage marked by strength and resilience, often referring to his heritage as coming from a family of Vikings.

Dale dedicated a significant part of his life to a fulfilling career with Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, where he found joy in traveling the world as part of his profession. His wanderlust and dedication to his work contributed not only to his personal growth but also to countless friendships that spanned the globe.

After many years in Seatle, WA, he embraced a new chapter of life alongside his beloved wife, Sally Ann Rustin-Johnson, whom he married on September 2, 2009, in his hometown of Seattle, WA. Together, they created a loving home, filled with laughter and support, before relocating to Higgins Lake, MI, and Apache Junction, AZ where they enjoyed the serenity and beauty of their surroundings.

Dale is survived by his wife, Sally, his son, Ingi Johnson, and his daughter, Shelby (Blake) Johnson-Haug. He delighted in his role as a grandfather to his grandchildren, Nolan and Kora Haug, who brought immense joy to his life. His family also includes his prior wife, Carole Johnson, the mother of his children, highlighting the bonds that can endure through life's many changes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends who span from Seattle, WA to Tecate, Mexico, all of whom will remember him for his warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Ingi and Maryanne (Harris) Johnson, who raised him with values that would shape the man he became. 

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled.

The legacy of Dale Ingi Johnson will continue through the lives he touched, the stories he shared, and the love he cultivated throughout his life. He will be deeply missed.
