Dale B. Root

Dale B. Root, age 96, of St. Helen, and formerly of the Owosso area, passed away peacefully at his home on October 20, 2013. He was born January 1, 1917, in Owosso, MI, the son of Ralph and Oosie Root. He was a member of Faith Alive Church in St. Helen. Dale enjoyed woodworking, fishing, bow hunting, and spending time with family. Dale is survived by son, Wayne Root of Belleville, MI, grandchildren, Amy Kleinert and Karrie Kleinert of St. Helen, Alan Kleinert of Sanford, William Thick of Omer, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife, Nellie Root in 2009, daughter, Judy Root, two grandchildren and brother, Russell Root. There will be a viewing from 6:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Faith Alive Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Faith Alive Church, 1709 N. St Helen Rd. St Helen, MI 48656. Pastor Tim LaVere will be officiating. Burial will take place at the Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen. Arrangements are being handled by Steuernol and McLaren Funeral Homes, St. Helen, Michigan.
