Cynthia Susan Potts

Cynthia Susan Potts, age 57, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at her home in St. Helen, MI surrounded by her loving husband. She was born on May 17, 1964 in Oak Lawn, IL to Robert and Suzanne (Brown) Gerat.

Cindy met Dennis Potts in October 1998 and they were married on June 10, 2000 in Trenton, MI. She was an awesome wife and Dennis’s best friend.

She loved everything about the outdoors. She spent her time hunting, fishing, camping and four wheeling and helped create the Exit 222 ORV riding groups. Her favorite season was fall because she enjoyed seeing the colors change. About six years ago, Cindy fell in in love with pottery. She took classes in West Branch and decided to start her own pottery studio out of her home in St. Helen.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Potts; brother, Robert (Kathy) Gerat; nephew, RJ Gerat; niece, MiKayla Gerat; father-in-law, Ken Nixon; sister-in-law Jaime (Art) Keener; brother-in-law, Doug Potts; and extended family, Chelsea, Jarod, Ryan, Katelyn, Hunter and Emma. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and mother-in-law, Sue Nixon.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in early fall.
