Clarence Roy Rubey, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at his home in St. Helen, MI. He was born on July 25, 1956 in Garden City to B.C. and Rosezella (Lare) Rubey. Chuck lived in St. Helen since 2011, formerly of Cass City. On May 22, 1988 he married Susan Bond Armstead in Cass City. He was a son of the American Legion Post in Luzerene and a member of the Trout Unlimited and the Lake St. Helen Baptist Church. He worked for the Crawford AuSable School District as a Building Trades instructor at the Grayling High School since 2011. Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and building his AuSable river boat.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Susan Rubey; sons, Paul Rubey and Timothy (Jessica) Rubey; daughter, Danielle (Rodney) Korbinsky; step son, Thomas (Laurissa) Armstead; sister, Marsha (Ken) Kronsperger; 3 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; 3 nephews; and 5 nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sharon Rubey; and best dog ever, his chocolate lab Drake who passed away 2 weeks ago.
Cremation has taken place.
