Christopher Leon Gilchrist

Christopher Leon Gilchrist, age 50, passed away on unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in St. Helen, MI. He was born on April 12, 1970 in Gladwin to Dennis and Darlene (Delby) Gilchrist. He has lived in St. Helen for the past two years, formerly of Waterford. Chris was raised in Pontiac and attended Pontiac schools. He worked at Metal Works in Detroit and for Matrix System in Union Lake for 20 years as a paint mixer. Chris enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, bon fires, hanging out with his friends and he especially loved his grandson and spending time with his family.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Katrina (George Shrokman IV) Gilchrist of St. Helen; grandson, George Shrokman V of St. Helen; mother, Darlene Gilchrist of St. Helen; brothers, Robert Gilchrist of Pontiac, Jeff Gilchrist of St. Helen, and Brian Gilchrist of St. Helen; and many nieces and nephews.

Chris is preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law, Ruthie Gilchrist.

Cremation has taken place, there will be a private family service at a later date.

The Gilchrist family would like to thank the Richfield Township Police, Fire, and EMS departments for their service.
