Christopher Duane Van Wormer

Christopher Duane Van Wormer, age 37, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 in Saginaw, MI. He had lived in Saginaw for the past 11 years, formerly of West Branch, MI. Chris was born to Sally Van Wormer in Flint, MI on June 12, 1978. He was a general contractor and was a jack of all trades. He was involved with the youth within the Nazarene Church and loved children and animals. Chris enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping, snowmobiling, mud bogging, riding dirt bikes and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was always willing to take risks.

Chris is survived by his children, Alexis Dantzer of Rose City, MI and Alyssa Van Wormer of St. Charles, MI; mother, Sally Van Wormer of Saginaw, MI; fiancée, Amber Schomaker of Saginaw, MI; step children, Brenden, Elijah, and Jonah all of Saginaw, MI; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willene and Darold Van Wormer; uncle, David Van Wormer; and cousins, Levi, Kara, and Noah.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m.
