C.J. was killed by a drunk driver while on his way home from an evening out with friends. C.J. was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan on December 7, 1990 at 3:03 am, from that moment on he owned his Mothers heart and all the hearts who knew him from that day forth.
C.J from the moment he was born hit the floor running. He made sure there was never a dull moment. He was Charismatic, adventurous, fearless, kind, loving, audacious, free spirited, and intelligent. As a child, he loved being outside playing sports, shooting, boating, snowmobiling, riding quads, video games and of course going fast. From his wagon, bike or big wheel he would try to figure out how to make it go faster. In the summers you could find him on the ball field, riding his quad, or out on the boat. During the winter he was out ice fishing and tearing up the trails on his snowmobile. As he got older his love for cars grew. He was a natural mechanic from the moment he put his hands on his first engine. C. J had many childhood friends who stayed with him through his life.
He leaves behind his Mother, Robin Fransee-Szmagaj (Christopher), of Farmington Hills MI, Father, Robert Fransee (Cheryl), of Prescott; Sister, Heather Fransee (Cristofaro Battaglia), of St. Clair Shores; Brother, Dan Fransee (Tina), of Houghton Lk; Brother, Scott Fransee, of Manistee; Step Brother Jesse Szmagaj (Brittany), of Novi; Step sisters Erika and Amber Szmagaj; Nephews, Aiden Goschke and Dominic Battaglia, of St. Clair Shores; Colton Szmagaj, of Novi; Niece, Payton Frost, of Novi; and his Grandmother, Arlene Rapp, of Warren; many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. C.J was preceded in death by his sister, Megan Hayward; Grandfather, William Rapp, and his Grandparents, Robert and Gertrude Fransee.
The family would like to send out a special thanks to all C.J's friends/brothers who had his back through thick and thin. Who made him laugh that laugh we all loved and shall miss greatly. You all know who you are!!
