Cherrian A. Nelson-Gaffke

Cherrian A. Nelson-Gaffke, age 88 of Rose City, passed away Wednesday March 28, 2012 at her home. Cherrian had lived in Rose City for most of her life. She owned and operated Cherrian Beauty Shop in Rose City for many years. Cherrian is survived by her children, Barb (Nelson) Gillette, Terry (Nancy) Nelson and Gloria (Richard) Meyer all of Rose City, her adopted daughter Ann Marie Portrey-Miller of St. Clair Shores, grandchildren; Terry (Verna) Gillette of Mio, Kelli (Terry) Collins of Rose City, Cindi (Steve) Cusimano of Maryland, Sheri (Kevin) Grace of Mio, Kymm (Kurt) Korow-Nelson of Howell, Chad Nelson of Garden City, Chris (Jen) Nelson of West Branch, Craig (Penny) Nelson of Midland and Todd Holbert of West Branch, 20 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Nelson and Clemmie Gaffke, daughters, Karen Nelson and Joyce Mayhew, her grandson, Mark Holbert, son-in-law Mike Gillette, her parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. There will be a private family visitation.
