Charles P. O’Connor, age 60 of Rose City, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He had lived in Rose City since 2000, formerly of Harbor Beach. Mr. O’Connor was a member of the American Legion in Luzerne, the Sterling Sportsmans Club and the Trinity United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Harley Davidson motorcycles, but especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Mr. O’Connor is survived by his wife Lee O’Connor of Rose City, children, Bryan (Elizabeth) Kloha of Clemmons, NC, Micki (Brad) Trotter and Patrick O’Connor both of Rose City, his daughter in law, Stephanie (Eric White) Wozniak of Saginaw, grandchildren, Brenna, Drew, Elliot, Weston and Sadie. Also surviving are his two sisters,Kathleen (Gary) Braun of Lakeland, FL, Mary O’Connor of Port Austin and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew O’Connor and a sister, Christine O’Connor. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 1-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 28, 2009 at the Trinity Methodist Church in Rose City. Rev. Donald J. Wojewski will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Trinity Methodist Church, Rose City or to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
