Charles O. Bradt, age 79, passed away Thursday December 27, 2012 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Charles had lived in Prudenville since 1976, formerly of St. Clair Shores. He was a former owner/operator of CJ Trading Post in Markey Township and a member of the Eagles Club of Houghton Lake. He enjoyed going to the Country Boots Restaurant in Prudenville. Charles was a gun collector, and he loved to golf and fish. He would build boats and cannons but his speciality was building race cars and funny cars with magazine articles published about them. Charles is survived by his daughters, Theresa Roberts (Dan Hummel) and Helen Macko both of Houghton Lake, grandchildren Kristal (Nathan) Seneda, Katherine (Denny) Ratliff, Eric Eddington, Martin Roberts, Lanette Roberts, Vanassa Roberts and Deric Roberts and great-grandchildren Emily, Courtney, Kyle, Denniele, Craig, Naomi, Lauren Kate and Samuel. Also surviving is his sister Helen (Richard) Zielinski of Roseville. He was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve Bradt and his daughter Patricia Jean Beardsley. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
