Charles M. Schwab

Charles Matthew Schwab, age 86, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Charles has lived in West Branch since 1987, formerly of Detroit, MI. He was born on May 2, 1927 in Turtle Creek, PA. Charles was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, VFW West Branch Post and was on the Sheriff’s Posse for 17 years. He enjoyed traveling in his fifth wheel and dancing. Charles is survived by his special friend; Delores “Dilly” Shore, his daughter; Minnie Lee Schwab, his son; Charles Joseph Schwab, his grandson; Aric Schwab, his great grandchildren; Arianna Schwab, Louisa Schwab and Janick Schwab and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Blanche, his brother Edward, and his sisters, Elaine Taylor and Betty Brenton. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. On Monday, Charles will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Patrick Maher will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
