Charles Henry Delpier

Charles Henry Delpier, age 94, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at his home in West Branch. Chuck was born on February 15, 1924 to Henry and Gertrude (Robinson) Delpier in Detroit, MI. He had lived in West Branch since 1988, formerly of Warren, MI. He married Viola Markel on August 13, 1947 in Warren. Chuck served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved to fish, hunt, speed skating, roller skating, playing Parcheesi, cards, bowling and dancing with the love of his life, Viola.

Chuck is survived by son, Dan (Jan) Delpier of Lachine, MI, daughter, Mary Jane (Bob) Copeland of Warren, MI, daughter, Marilyn (Bill) Snowhook of Clinton Twp., MI, daughter, Margaret (Rex) Zink of Ray Twp., MI, daughter, Michelle (Don) Tonn of Pinconning, MI, son, Dennis (Dianne) Delpier of Roseville, MI, son, Duane (Bonnie) Delpier of Clinton Twp., MI, son, Delbert (Darla) Delpier of Harrison Twp., MI, and son, Donald Delpier of East Pointe., MI. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and sister, Nora Jane Walters of Roseville, MI. He is preceded in death by his wife Viola in 2015.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate.
