Charles Edward Morey Jr.

Charles Edward Morey Jr., age 69 of Rose City, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at his home. Chuck was born on October 28, 1953, to Charles and Elizabeth Morey in Flint, MI. Chuck married Carrie S. Bartels on June 9, 1973, in Mio, MI. He has lived in Rose City since 2000, formerly of Mio. Chuck had a lifetime hunting license and was a lifetime member of the N.R.A., the U.P. Bear Hunters Association, Ducks Unlimited, and Michigan Trappers Association. When Chuck had a hobby, it became his obsession. Those hobbies included hunting, fishing, trapping, duck calls, and cb radio to name a few.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carrie Morey of Rose City, daughters; Jennifer (Scott) Chartier of Manistique, MI, Barbara (Alex) Berg of Rose City, grandchildren; Samantha and Michael Chartier, sisters; Toni (Randy) Peterson of Gaylord, Nancy Morey of Roscommon, brothers; Patrick Morey of Elmira, MI, Michael (Joan) Morey of Petoskey, MI and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Chuck and Elizabeth Morey, son, Charles Edward Morey III, sister, Paula Morey, and aunts; Wilma and VI.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 165 E Sage Lake Rd, Rose City, MI 48654, at 12:00 PM with family receiving friends from 11:00 AM until time of service. Pastor Nan Dehnke will officiate.
