Charles Albert Powers

Charles Albert Powers, age 84, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. He was born to Clarence and Myrl Powers in Commerce, MI on June 15, 1930. Charles has lived in West Branch, MI since 1973, formerly of Union Lake, MI. On December 19, 1988 he married Marsha Dunlay in West Branch. Charles was a member of Churchill United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts of America, American Legion Post #416, White Lake Township Fire Department, White Lake Township Goodfellows, Richfield Township Park Board and Friends of the Park. He enjoyed racing stock cars, watching NASCAR, camping, working on cars, and tinkering in the garage.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Powers of West Branch; children: Brian (Sherry) Powers of Midland, MI; Bill (Jody) Powers of St. Helen, MI; Charlie Puzjak of West Branch; William Puzjak of Lansing, MI; grandchildren: Greg (Heather),Stacy (Angelo), Jeremy (Michelle), Jenifer (Steve), Bill (Colleen), Christopher (Sunny), Jennifer, Stephanie, William, Skylynne, Dustin, Allissa; granddaughter in law, Beth; great grandchildren: Brandon, Ashlynne, Zachary, Spencer, Bailley, Brianna, Ayanna, Antwone, and Anthony; and sister, Marlene (Leland) Tedford of Kalkaska, MI. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Powers; daughters, Wendy Powers and Carla Blanchard; grandchild, Eric Breining; sister, Evelyn Cutter; and brother, Ivan Powers.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
