Cecil William Gildner

Cecil William Gildner, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch, MI. He was born to Herbert and Iva Gildner in West Branch on December 23, 1935. Cecil moved to the Davison area when he was a young boy to work on the Spezia Farm. In his adult years, he returned to West Branch to continue farming where he owned and operated the Cecil Gildner Farm on Wickes Rd.

Cecil is survived by his siblings, Marjorie Gildner of FL, Douglas (Corrine) Gildner of Prescott, MI, Catherine Gildner of Flint, MI, David Gildner of West Branch, Jeanette Gildner of West Branch, and Mary (Kenneth) Neubecker of West Branch; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roy Gildner.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
