Carolyn Sue Lewis

July 21, 1935 — October 27, 2024

Lupton, MI

Carolyn Sue Lewis, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27,2024, in Tawas City, Michigan. She was born on July 21, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio to Harry and Cathryn (Williams) Cooper. She lived in Lupton and Floral City since 1986, formerly of St. Clair Shores, MI.

Carolyn spent her early years cultivating a passion for art that would later blossom into a lifelong dedication to painting. Her love for the outdoors mirrored her artistic spirit; she found joy in watching birds and soaking in the beauty of nature that flourished around her. Those fortunate enough to know her witnessed not only her talent as an artist but also her ability to express her love for life in every brushstroke.

Her faith was a significant aspect of her life, as she attended an Episcopal Church in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. It was within these walls that she found community and solace, drawing strength from her beliefs and the friendships she formed.

She leaves behind a cherished family, including her son Kevin (Pam) McNally, stepchildren Colleen (Bob) Zuber and Richard (Vicky) Lewis, and a multitude of grandchildren—Joshua (Natalie), Kevin Jr. (Sara), Megan, Bob, Paul (Tara), Vivian (Tyre), Justin (Callie), and Amanda (Brandon). Carolyn was also a proud great-grandmother, leaving a legacy of love for her great-grandchildren: Justin, Jayla, Christian, Liana, Curren, Logan, Jameson, Murphy, Kaleigha, Aria, Aza, Eden, Josiah, and Ezra.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don Lewis, her son Scott McNally, and her parents, Harry and Cathryn Cooper.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Homes in West Branch beginning at 2:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 12:00pm. Chaplin Karen Orban will officiate.
