Carol Sue Bedtelyon

Carol Sue Bedtelyon, age 79, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her home in West Branch surrounded by her loving family. She lived in West Branch since 1956, formerly of Linwood. She was born on August 18, 1941 in Flint, MI to Herbert and Twilla (Demming) Marsh. On May 20, 1960, she married Raymond Bedtelyon.

Sue was a member of the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch. She was a bus driver for the West Branch Rose City Schools for 25 years. When her husband was a pastor, she played the piano and enjoyed singing at church. Sue was a help mate to Ray with working on the family farm and also drove bus for the school. Sue was a wonderful mother, grandmother and took care of the shut ins and people in general. She was a jokester and enjoyed cooking and caring for her dogs.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Raymond Bedtelyon; children, Raymond (Lola) Bedtelyon, Mark (Teresa) Bedtelyon, and Pamela (Doug) Gesink; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Anderson; sister-in-law, Carole Marsh; and many extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Myrna Ismail, grandsons, Kareem and Ali Ismail, and brother, Harold Marsh.

Visitation at Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Campbell Corners Cemetery in West Branch. Pastor David Kurtz and Pastor Brad Older will officiate.
