Carl Rosendahl Tellefsen, age 88, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home in St. Helen with his family by his side. He was born on November 15, 1931 in Hazel Park, MI to Harold and Neva (Iler) Tellefsen. Carl served in the United States Air Force as military police and guarded missiles in New Mexico. He taught nuclear and biological warfare to groups including generals and higher intelligence officers. He was also a mechanic in the Air Force working on B-52’s, stealth bombers, and helicopters. Carl was a member of the Snow Packers of St. Helen and enjoyed camping, coin collecting, being outdoors and feeding the animals.
Carl is survived by his children, Ed Tellefsen, Connie (Bill) Cranmore, Bonnie Guthre, Sandy Lane, and Tammy Strauchman; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother, Harold Tellefsen. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Violet in 2018 and sisters, Bea, Kay and Grace.
A private family burial at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
