Carl James Holecek

Carl James (Jim) Holecek, age 76, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Bay Special Care in Bay City, MI. He had lived in Houghton Lake, MI for the past 10 years, formerly from South Branch and the Durand/Owosso area. Carl was born to Carl A. and Maxine (McCollum) Holecek in Owosso, MI on December 30, 1939. He was an OTR trucker for a few years and enjoyed tinkering with small engines. Carl was known as being a prankster, but was very loving and giving. He would help anyone that needed it.

Carl is survived by his mother, Maxine Holecek of West Branch, MI; brother, Charles (Joan) Holecek of West Branch, MI; sister, Kristeen (Larry) Howard of West Branch, MI; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl and stillborn daughter.

Cremation has taken place. Pursuant to his wishes, no services are to be held.
