Carl C. Jenkins

Carl C. Jenkins, age 70 of St. Helen passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City. Carl had lived in St. Helen for all of his life. He owned Riteway Plumbing and Heating for 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, farming and spending time with his family. Carl is survived by his wife Dorothy Jenkins of St. Helen, children, Vera (Edward) Zettel of St. Helen, Dr. Christopher (Rosie) Jenkins of Augusta, GA, Dr. Jay Jenkins of St. Helen and Dr. Amy (Mark) Hance of St. Helen, grandchildren, Melissa, Nathan, Rachel, Christopher, James, Joshua, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Timothy and Morgan and his great-grandchildren Jason and Brianna. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary (Earl) Rabidue, Clara (Teddy) Bayne and Sylvia (Willis) Brewer all of West Branch and Dorothy (Leo) DeGroat of St. Helen and his brothers, Darrell (Della) Jenkins and Albert (Barbara) Jenkins both of St. Helen and Melvin (Becky) Jenkins of Midland, his brother-in-law Maurice (Bonnie) Dowell of St. Helen and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Luella Jenkins and brothers, Kenneth and Raymond Jenkins. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011 until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate burial following at Maple Valley Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
