Bruce G. Wood

Bruce Geard Wood, age 59, passed away peacefully at The Villa of Rose City on Friday, April 29, 2016. Bruce was born February 28, 1957 in Monroe, MI to Roy and Mary (Younglove) Burghardt. He had lived in St. Helen for the past 12 years previously of Monroe, MI. Bruce was an avid hunter, fisherman, and woodworker. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, model cars, and watching NASCAR.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife Susie of St. Helen, daughter Elizabeth (Paul) Martin of Bear, DE; son Bruce (Christina) Wood of Lambertville, MI. He has 6 wonderful grandchildren Noah, Katie, Anne, Kyle, Marissa, and Johnathan. He is also survived by his mother Mary, 3 sisters Kathy, Ida, and Rose, and 2 brothers, Roy and Ray. He is preceded in death by his father Roy and brother Bill.

Visitation for Bruce will begin Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Steuernol & McLaren in St. Helen from 2-9PM. His funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11:00am at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen. Pastor Brian McDaniels will officiate.
