Bonita Mester

Bonita Mester, age 66, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born on July 19, 1952 in Detroit to Salvatore and Lillian (Olesky) Biondo. Bonnie lived in West Branch for over 20 years, formerly from Warren. She attended Faith Alive in West Branch and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Bonnie enjoyed going for walks and she was a lover of nature, animals of all kinds, but especially birds and horses. Her hobbies included reading and traveling as well as expressing herself through journals. She was a compassionate person and very tender hearted.

Bonnie was a loving mother and is survived by her children, Melissa (Phil) Montgomery of Warren, Amanda Palitti of Warren, Lisa Montgomery of West Branch, John Montgomery of Clinton Township, Holly Mester of West Branch and Noelle (Mark) McPherson of West Branch; grandchildren, Kyle, Jessica (Darrel), Clayton, Jacob, Kayla, Addison, Aurora, Olivia, Aidan and Delanie; great grandchild, Abel; sister, Christine (Dale)Phillips of Warren; brothers, Sam (Mary Jo) Biondo of St. Clair and Joe (Terese) Biondo of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Mester and baby brother, John.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pastor Chad Deerman will officiate.
