Billy M. Needham, age 87, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 at West Branch Regional Medical Center in West Branch, MI. Billy was born in Formosa, Arkansas on September 12, 1926 to Mace and Vera (Pavatt) Needham. He was the eldest life member of the Elks Lodge 222, joining in 1958, and member of the West Branch Kiwanis since 2002. Billy was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Flint, MI since the age of 22, and then he became a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in West Branch, MI in 2002. Billy was also in the Army of Occupation stationed in Japan for 3 years.
Billy is survived by his children: Lisa (Mike) Davis, Teena (Bob) Laughton, Mike (Lou Ann) ODell, Doug ODell; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister: Dora Anderson; nieces: Becky, Kathy; nephew: Doug, Mark, Todd, Chris, Mathew; sister in law: Marjean Needham; and aunt: Vivian Pavatt. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy on February 16, 2009 and his brother, Jim Needham in 1995.
A Memorial Mass will be held at West Branch Trinity Episcopal Church on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Chace officiating and at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Flint, MI on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Barb Cavin officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Steuernol McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI.
