Beverly J. J. Bennett

Beverly J. Bennett, age 77, passed away June 13, 2004 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw. Mrs. Bennett had been a resident of West Branch since 1962. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in West Branch, a member of the Michigan State Treasurer's Association, the West Branch City Planning Commission, she served as the West Branch City Treasurer and Deputy Clerk from 1963 to 1972, and served as the Ogemaw County Treasurer from 1973 to 1991. She was very active in the Ogemaw County Republican Party. Surviving family members include her husband Harvey Bennett of West Branch, daughters, Cher Schaiberger of West Branch and Cindy (Mark) Baade of Flint, son David Murray of White Lake, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson Tony Rogers. Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 15, 2004 from 4-9 PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. The Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the funeral home. Rev. Gail Vince will officiate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
