Betty Marlene Coleman

Betty Marlene (Sawyer) Coleman, age 69, passed away Friday, August 11, 2006 at her home in West Branch. Betty was born April 26, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan. She was hired by Pontiac Motors in 1966 where she worked for 24 years and retired in 1991. Upon retiring, she moved to West Branch. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and especially cooking for family and friends at gatherings. Betty is survived by her daughter Susan (Joe) Tiernan, daughter Barbara (Tim) Glossenger, son Pete (Dawn) Coleman, son Mike (Laura) Coleman and daughter Cindy (Roger) Adams. Also surviving are three brothers, six sisters, seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Betty in death were daughter Debbie (Coleman) Santiago, daughter Jeanette (Coleman) McGee, mother Margaret Christine Sawyer, father Merle Hazen Sawyer, two brothers and one sister. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held on Monday, August 14, 2006 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Peterson officiating.
